Emergency road closure in place for burst water main repairs
AN EMERGENCY road closure has been put in place in Wokingham this morning (Monday).
Barkham Road has been closed between the junctions of Oxford Road and Havelock Street to allow South East Water to undertake urgent works to repair a bust water main.
A diversion is in place northbound via B3349 Barkham Road, Bearwood Road, B3030 King Street Lane, A329 Reading Road and A321 Station Road.
The alternative route for all vehicles (Southbound) affected by the closure shall be via Station Approach, A329 Reading Road, B3030 King Street Lane, Bearwood Road and B3349 Barkham Road.
Wokingham Borough Council saidw works are expected to be completed by July 7.
