Health experts at Frimley Health NHS Trust have once again decided to reinstate the wearing of masks for all visitors.
With hospitalisations and cases on the rise, Bracknell and surrounding areas within the Frimley Trust has become the fourth highest Covid hotspot in the UK.
Frimley Health released a video yesterday (4/7) announcing the change of policy on all of their sites, including Frimley Park, Heatherwood Hospital and Wexham Park.
Lorna Wilkinson, Chief of Nursing and Midwifery said in a video published on July 4: “Unfortunately due to the increase in Covid numbers in our hospitals, the number of staff affected and the increased prevalence in our local communities we’re reintroducing mask wearing for all visitors in all areas of our hospitals.

"This is to ensure that our patients, visitors, and staff are appropriately protected.
She added: "The decision has not been taken lightly but the variants that are in circulation in our local communities are significantly more transmissible so it’s really important that we all continue to follow the guidance to protect patients as well as our services.
"When the number of Covid cases decreases we will review this guidance again, but in the meantime please help us keep everyone in our hospital safe by wearing a mask."
