A LIFE-SAVING device has been stolen from a phone box in Mortimer.
A defibrillator, which gives a high energy electric shock to the heart of someone who is in cardiac arrest, was taken from the blue phone box on King Street.
The phone box has clear warning signs to help prevent them from being removed.
A search on the National Defibrillator Database shows that the Mortimer village defibrillator was inactive.

My Wokingham stated on its website: "We went to photograph an unusual sight in the Wokingham village of Mortimer a blue phone box.
"But was shocked to discover that a life-saving defibrillator had been removed from the phone box meaning the emergency life-saving equipment was not available for emergencies in that location."
If this was removed unlawfully, an appeal has been put out for the person to return it and to let the Communities Heartbeat Trust know on 0330 124 3067.
