Growing up in a small commuter town like Bracknell has brought our readers tons of memories that many look back at with fondness.
Whether you have moved away from your hometown or choose to settle, the memories good or bad will always take you back to your childhood.
We asked our Bracknell news readers what their favourite childhood memories were from back in the day and the variety of responses was heart-warming.
From disco nights at the John Nike ice-rink and ski slopes to days at South Hill Park, Bracknell childhoods were carefree and fun.
Mark Cooper and friends reminisced about their teenage years at South Hill Park.
He said: “Down south hill park in the late 80s was loads of us hanging out good times no trouble just kids being kids.”
Another reader replied: “The best times, Trying to explain what we had as a playground in the middle of housing estates to people that have not been there. Great times even before Diamond white.”
Many people look back over their time with friends at the famous (and now demolished) John Nike centre for ice-skating, skiing and the occasional disco night.
Anthony Honey said: “The square park!!! Behind priestwood community centre, jocks lane, John nike centre on a Friday night o and frisko Jack's!!!”
Many remember the Bracknell cinema where seeing a film cost you one pound!
Not forgetting the famous Bracknell bandstand which was a favourite meeting point in the town back in the day.
