Smoke from a wildfire near Sandhurst could be 'seen as far as Wokingham' yesterday.
Firefighters from Berkshire and 15 fire engines were called to tackle the blaze as it spread through Yateley Common at 11.30am.
The cause of the fire is unknown, according to a station manager of Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service.
Wokingham-based photographer Paul King said the height of the fire meant he could see smoke six miles away.
"This hot and dry weather means fires like the one crews have been tackling at Yateley Common can become very severe, very quickly," a spokesperson for Hampshire fire and rescue said.

"Please take extra care and if you spot a fire, dial immediately and keep clear."
The dry conditions is thought to have contributed to the spread of the fire, having left the bracken and pine cones like kindling.
