Three local men have been caught up in sextortion cases reported over the weekend across Ascot.
The first young man was contacted online by an ‘attractive’ young woman who claimed she was from Manchester. After transferring their conversation to Instagram and Snapchat they started to exchange videos taking part in intimate acts.
Following this, she immediately demanded £500, threatening to send the footage to everyone in his personal address book and contact list. He blocked and changed all his passwords, and no money was exchanged.

The second case that was reported last weekend started over Instagram where the young man was contacted via social media.
After being persuaded to send intimate photos, she soon demanded £800, which he sent and blocked the woman off all platforms.
The final case involved the highest sum of money following the sending of intimate photos and footage.
The ‘attractive’ woman that initiated the conversation demanded $3000 when he showed him a group of his contacts and sent them copies of the images.
He has since received screenshots of more groups of his contacts with the threat that they would be next to receive the photos if not paid before blocking her from social media.
