A much-anticipated doggy day-out hosted in the heart of South Hill Park has been cancelled this coming weekend.
Bracknell Paws in the Park was due to take place on Saturday, August 13 with fun and games for all the family.
Due to the soaring temperatures of up to 35 degrees and the prediction of a level three heat wave, organisers have made the difficult decision in order to ensure the safety of both dogs and families.

Bracknell Paws in the Park released a statement on their website and social media. They said: “We are hugely disappointed to announce that we have made the decision to cancel Bracknell Paws in the Park due to take place on 13th August.
“The weather forecast has changed dramatically since last week and the area is now subject to a Level 3 Heatwave Warning, with expected temperatures on Saturday of 35C.
“Whilst we already had plans in place to manage a normal summer’s day (including water supplies, paddling pools, suspension of high-energy events and shade breaks between stalls), it is not safe to hold an event aimed at dogs and their owners in the extreme heat forecast.
“We, therefore, have no option, but to cancel the show.
Organisers have stated that re-scheduling of the event is being assessed.
They added: “We share your disappointment in not being able to go ahead with such a successful and much-loved show.
“We really appreciate your understanding and we know you will appreciate that we have to make the welfare of the dogs the main priority in this situation.
