Over 30 talented performers of all ages from a local Bracknell dance school have wowed the crowds at this year’s UDO Street Dancing World championships.
Dancexite dance school was invited to the world championships after dancers undertook 12 months of qualifying rounds at regional championship level.
During the weekend of August 11 to August 14 they attended the event at Blackpool’s Winters Gardens where they fought against schools from 30 other countries.
The Dancexite dancers came back with a number of titles to their name. Two of their crews got to the finals placing 6th and 7th and lots of solo/duo dancers placed in the top 7.

Chloe Smith was awarded the title of U12 Breaking world champion for her performance on the day.
Sarah Rose, from Dancexite said: “The children and young adults showed enthusiasm, passion, determination, teamwork and resilience and worked extremely hard both in the lead up and during the competition.”
The school was set up in 2016 and has grown to over 60 dancers over the years providing street dance, commercial, heels and contemporary classes for all ages and abilities.
Dancexite owner and lead teacher Lowri Hughes states: ‘My passion is for the school to not only provide dance opportunities but to be a safe and positive place for young people and adults, a place that will support and empower them and give them confidence and self belief’
