Plans to convert a former bank into a takeaway pizza outlet in Crowthorne have been submitted to the council.
The application, submitted by the food and beverage services company DPSK Ltd, proposes to redevelop the vacant Barclays Bank at 208 High Street into a new Domino’s Pizza branch.
The takeaway is proposed to operate between 11am to 11pm seven days a week and promises to “generate a number of full-time and part-time employment opportunities” for local people.
The site comprises a detached, two-storey building. The whole premises are vacant; however, the application solely relates to changes to the ground floor.

If approved, the development would see a customer service area situated at the front of the building, with a small number of seats for people to use whilst waiting for their orders.
The store would also include a food preparation area, manager’s office, staff toilets, areas for dry storage and a cold storage room.
There is an existing yard to the rear of the building that provides space for vehicle parking and serving arrangements, which would predominantly be used by delivery drivers and other employees, with an existing lay-by at the front for in-store collections.
A basement, which operated as the bank’s vault, would be retained for storage.
