A Bracknell man kidnapped a woman and sexually assaulted her in the woods in High Wycombe.

Andrew Custos, 30, of Wroxham, was sentenced to four years and nine months’ imprisonment at Reading Crown Court on Friday, August 12.

He pleaded guilty to sexual assault and kidnap with the intent to commit a sexual offence.

“This was a distressing incident for the victim and I am pleased that Custos has received a custodial sentence as a result of his actions,” said Detective Constable Sarah Simpson.

“Thames Valley Police is committed to tackling violence against women and girls and bringing offenders to justice.

“I hope this serves as an example that we will investigate thoroughly and take offenders to court.”

Custos saw a woman exit a pub in Marlow and get into a taxi on February 26, and followed her to an address in High Wycombe.

He got out of his car and continued following the victim, aged in her forties, before taking her into the woods nearby where he sexually assaulted her.

Custos has been made subject to a 10-year restraining order and will be on the sex offenders register for life.
