Residents are being asked to give their feedback on plans to build a new retirement home in Bracknell.
Lifestory Group, a house developer headquartered in Cheltenham, will host a community consultation event to present the proposed 43-home development on Old Bracknell Lane East.
The event, which will take place tomorrow (September 6) between 3pm and 7:30pm at the Bracknell Open Learning Centre, will allow residents to view the draft proposals and offer their opinion.
The plans outline the redevelopment of Floringham Lodge, a business property located in Wildridings and Central Ward of Bracknell Forest, to provide 43 one and two-bedroom apartments, as well as communal space, for retirees.

The single three-storey building would be erected following the demolition of the existing building, together with on-site parking and landscaping.
Senior Development Manager at Lifestory Group’s, Paul Rowland, said the council’s local plans “recognise the ageing population” and the company plans to “present an opportunity” to help it meet a need for a range of retirement homes moving forward.
“Given the stage we’ve now reached and having held conversations with immediate neighbours and local representatives, we’re keen to hear what the local community thinks about our proposals,” he added.
Depending on feedback and progress, the company aims to submit a full planning application to the council later this year, meaning a decision on the proposals could be made by Spring 2023.
