A frustrated shopper has expressed his concerns about the ‘dangerous’ nature of the carpark set-up at a Binfield supermarket.
The Co-operative on Forest Road has been a cause of complaint for many residents after the large carpark was replaced to make way for houses leaving only a few normal spaces in front of the store.
The recent arrival of an Amazon return locker, although welcomed by residents has meant that less space is available for less abled customers to make their way into the store.

Binfield resident, Richard Haines said: The local Co-Op in Binfield has set up its carpark in such a way that it’s very dangerous for pedestrians, especially families with prams, to navigate into the shop.
“They’ve installed a new Amazon return facility outside, so you now have to walk out into the road and around behind the parked cars as there’s no space to get between the Amazon machine and bollards.
“This is ridiculous. On top of that they’ve put a trolley park outside as well so again it forces you out into the main car park and behind the cars.”
Following the re-location of the post office from the previous Terrace Road South building, residents were already in up-roar around the dangerous set-up and addition of more customers.
With the Amazon return station and trolley park the walk way has now been blocked completely to families, which means making the dangerous journey behind reversing cars and onto the road.

Richard added: “Not ideal! Really badly designed car park as well with cars pulling in and out over pavement.”
A spokesperson from Southern Co-Ops said: We're currently in the process of removing the trolley park, with baskets on wheels available as an alternative.
“This will result in a clearly marked pedestrian pathway with space for pushchair/wheelchair access.
“We would ask all customers to observe the road markings which include yellow box junctions to prevent access being blocked. Should the customer have further concerns, we would ask them to get in touch with us directly.”
