A suspected drunk driver has been arrested following reports of erratic driving in Bracknell.

Thames Valley Police stopped the man and found that he was over the legal limit for drink driving when tested.

A post on social media by TVP Bracknell and Wokingham said officers stopped the man after members of the public reported him as a potential drunk driver.

According to reports he was witnessed near Wildriding’s Road in Bracknell after being seen ‘bumping into three cars’.

The social post said:” Failing a roadside breath test he was arrested, blowing 129 at the station. Legal limit being 35.”

In England, the drink driving limit is 80 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood, or 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath 107 milligrammes per 100 millilitres of urine.

This is following a road traffic collision that occurred earlier yesterday morning (17/9) off Lower Earley Way which didn’t involve alcohol.

TVP reported that colleagues from RBFRS extracted the driver who will makes a full recovery.
