The local vaccine clinic on Denmark Street is open again from today to offer residents a winter Covid jab.
The site, located at the former Wokingham Library, will offer the adult autumn booster vaccine today and tomorrow, as well as September 29 and 30, from 9:30am to 4:30pm. It will currently only be serving people aged 65 or above and health and social care staff who have completed their primary course.
Children aged between five and eleven can also get a vaccine on Sunday’s September 25 and October 2 between 9:30am and 4:30pm.

A council spokesperson said: “This winter, it is expected that many respiratory infections, including Covid-19, may be circulating at high levels – this may put increasing pressure on hospitals and other health care services.
“Getting up-to-date with Covid-19 vaccination is the best way to protect ourselves and our loved ones as we live with the virus, so we continue to encourage everyone to get vaccinated.”
Residents who are eligible for the vaccine are advised to book ahead on the NHS National Booking Website or by calling 119, although walk-ins are also accepted.
Those attending are reminded to bring their NHS number and a face covering with them.
