The next phase of the traffic-free pathway in Wokingham is about to start linking key destinations across the borough.
From October 24 contractors will be closing the road for five days between 8am and 6pm as Coombes Lane near Coles Lane is resurfaced.
Although much of the greenway works will not be open to traffic, this will be open to all forms of transport between Cantley Park and Arborfield Cross and adjoining countryside.
Cllr Ian Shenton, executive member for environment, sport and leisure, said: “Work at Woosehill Meadows has now finished and we're getting some fantastic feedback from residents, so we're looking forward to moving ahead to the next stages of this project.
“We understand that there will be some disruption, but this will bring benefits to everyone, whether walking, cycling or using other types of active travel, for many years to come while providing one of many new connections between Wokingham town and other towns and villages.
“This will have enormous benefits for the environment and help residents lead healthier lives, whether they're using the route for day-to-day travel or leisure.”
