Bracknell Forest Council have announced there will be road closures on a busy commuter road for eight nights in November.
The Mill Lane footbridge which is a key pedestrian link connecting Easthampstead and Great Hollands is undergoing intensive cleaning to remove rubbish and return it to it’s original glory.
The works which will take place from October 31 to November 9 aim to make the bridge look better and make sure it is safe for pedestrians.
The overnight road closures will be from 8pm to 6am on:
- Monday 31 October and Tuesday 1 November - Mill Lane southbound (towards Crowthorne)
- Wednesday 2, Thursday 3, Friday 4 and Monday 7 November - Mill Lane in both directions
- Tuesday 8 and Wednesday 9 November - Mill Lane northbound (towards Bracknell)
The diversion route will be via Nine Mile Ride and A322 to the Twin Bridges junction in both directions.
Although the road will be closed, the bridge will remain open to pedestrians as it is cleaned by a specialist contractor.
