AN independent day and boarding school in Berkshire has been shortlisted as one of the three nominees for the EdTech Innovation of the Year Award at the National School Awards.
The team from LVS Ascot were invited to the awards ceremony held at the House of Lords on December 1.
The National Schools Awards is presented in 8 categories. This year two new categories have been added and LVS Ascot is proud to be nominated under one of them; EdTech Innovation of the Year Award sponsored by Bedrock Learning.
LVS Ascot implemented a digital transformation across all their academic departments to embrace technology, investing in surface Pro 8s for all students and staff. 85% of the entire school utilise these and have adopted Microsoft’s K-12 education framework. Digital champions have been appointed among the staff to encourage and ensure the use of technology throughout all schemes of work.
Pupils can access their learning 24/7 and teachers are able to gain valuable insights into their work.
Commenting on the shortlisting Bradley Hunt, Assistant Head (Academic) of LVS Ascot said; “EdTech is a part of our digital transformation journey. We are really excited about the opportunities this brings for our pupils and their learning, and the benefits this will bring to enhance the curriculum in years to come. We are incredibly proud to have been shortlisted for this award and look forward to applying again next year.”
