A MAJOR flood has blocked a busy road in Bracknell.
Reports are showing little, if any, traffic is currently able to pass Mill Lane as a section of the road is underwater.
Police are currently on the scene helping to direct traffic, along with officers from Bracknell Forest Council who are attempting to resolve the problem.
As a result, traffic is slow and congestion is building in the area on a day which is expected to see busy roads right across the country as people travel for Christmas.
The section impacted runs from A3095 Mill Lane northbound from South Hill Road to Wildridings Road, as well as a knock-on impact on the southbound route also.
Traffic reports show congestion tailing back along South Hill Road, Ringmead, Crowthorne Road and the areas of Mill Lane that are not flooded - as people find alternative routes.
More as we get it.
