A long serving councillor from Bracknell has announced that he will be stepping down from council life.
Councillor Marc Brunel-Walker has served on Bracknell Forest Council since 2003, after being elected five times in a row.
He is a Conservative representative for Crown Wood.
But late last year, cllr Brunel-Walker announced that he will no longer be a councillor following the 2023 Local Elections.
Cllr Brunel-Walker tweeted: “So Bracknell – what do I do next in May when I’m no longer a councillor?
“Helpful suggestions to continue to serve the community are very welcome.”
He is currently the executive member for economic development and regeneration.
Cllr Brunel-Walker took a leading role in the Bracknell town centre regeneration project, which involved the transformation of much of the town centre into The Lexicon shopping centre, which opened in September 2017.
