BRACKNELL MP James Sunderland has slammed South Western Railway for the number of trains which were delayed between London and train stations in Berkshire.
Mr Sunderland criticised the London Waterloo service which runs through Bracknell in the House of Commons on Thursday, January 19.
He told the Secretary of State for Transport Mark Harper that passenger how more than 90 per cent of trains in November and December were around 15 minutes late, which is "unacceptable."
The South Western Railway service between Reading & Waterloo is a vital link for the people of Bracknell & beyond. The pandemic is behind us. Passenger numbers & revenue will continue to rise by improving reliability. We must now do so... @SW_Help @bracknellnews @transportgovuk pic.twitter.com/UU3dJSADO2

He said: "The South Western Railways line between Bracknell and Waterloo is a really important link between Berkshire and London.
"Even though passenger numbers are now increasing back to pre-pandemic levels, South Western Railways' own figures for November and December last year are that over 90% of trains ran up to 15 minutes late.
"It's not acceptable."
The Bracknell MP then asked Mr Harper to respond with what he was doing to improve the service for local passengers in the area.
The Secretary of State said: "The first thing is that on the level of services, that obviously remains constantly under review and as passenger numbers increase, that is of course something that both the department and the operator can look at to see whether more needs to be done."
