A stunning memorial has been created to remember the life of a popular Wokingham man who tragically died in a road traffic accident.
Daniel Davies was one of three Berkshire men killed in a collision in Eastbourne, Sussex, on Monday, February 13. He died alongside Jonny Day, 32, and Jon "Tommy" Miller.
A murder investigation was launched by Sussex Police with two men, aged 38 and 40, arrested on suspicion of murder. They have been released on conditional bail.
As previously reported in by Bracknell News, a charity fundraising page was set up to support Daniel's family.
And now the fundraising total has topped £4,000 with more than 170 people coming forward to donate.
Loved ones have also been leaving floral tributes in memory of the 21-year-old along with cards.
Several bouquets of flowers of all colours have been left at the site along with a large bunch of red and black balloons.
It comes as the fundraising target of £4,500 is very close to being met with £4,113 raised at the time of writing.
The page was set up in memory of Daniel by a friend who said his loved ones had been left "devastated".
A post of the fundraising page reads: “Daniel’s mum has asked me for help. She is broken. Daniel’s brothers are broken. All his family and friends are devastated.
“Daniel sadly passed away in a horrific car accident. He was only 21 years old, gone too soon.
“Daniel has touched many hearts in his short life, but he was loved by so many. We all can cry a thousand tears, but it will not bring him home.
“Please donate so his family and friends can give Daniel the best send-off he deserves.”
Addressing Daniel, the friend wrote: “We all love you, Dan Dan, and you will be missed so much. Please help bring comfort to his mum ad brothers.
“Thank you so much for everyone that has donated, we really appreciate all the love and support. It means so much.”
