An area of Bracknell will soon see the return of post office facilities more than one year on from its previous branch closing.
Harmans Water is a large suburb in Bracknell served by The Square shopping precinct, which has some key facilities including takeaways, a betting shop, hairdressers, a library and more.
The Square also used to have a post office, however it closed down on March 12, 2022.
At the time, the Post Office wrote a letter to customers saying that the postmaster at the store had resigned. But now post office facilities are due to reopen at Londis convenience store in The Square.

Welcoming the news, councillor Chris Turrell (Conservative, Harmans Water), said: “I am very pleased to hear that there will be a post office in The Square again.
“This facility is very important to local residents, many of whom have been on touch with me about it.
“Using the Post Office is an important part of visiting the shops for a lot of people, so other shops will benefit from the Post Office returning.
“I am glad Londis have stepped up to provide this important additional service, and I wish them all the best with it.”

The Post Office at The Square is due to return in May.
During the closure anouncement, the Post Office said it would work with retail partners for the functions that the post office provides to be restored.
