Independent businesses make up the heart of any community. Be it an amazing community dance studio, a fantastic personal trainer or a fancy sweet shop every one brings with it their own individual flair.
Although the regeneration of Bracknell town centre has brought with it more chain shops to the town, some independents have been hidden between shops and in buildings that have been transformed into hubs for small businesses.

KL Dance Steps
KL Dance Steps is a small dance school located within the Lexicon shopping complex. Both adults and children alike have raved about this business that offers dance classes for all abilities.
The Bracknell studio hosts a variety of events for dancers including workshops with professional dancers.
Readers gushed about the business and how the warm and friendly owners provide excellent classes.

Hashtag Sweat
Hashtag Sweat is a small independent gym doing group training and individual personal training.
Mentioned by a few people for their excellent service, it is described as more motivating that a ‘faceless corporate gym experience’.

Easthampstead Works is a building just off the town centre specialising in small businesses and cafes.
Feathers and Fur Falconry Centre
Feathers and Furs is a bird sanctuary located at Moss End Garden Centre, specialising in learning about and experiencing different birds of prey.
Owner Sadie has recently moved her operations to Bracknell and is seeing great success, with more and more people discovering the excitement of actually experiencing different birds of prey.
Robyn’s Nest Café
Another small business which is located at Moss End Garden Centre is the thriving Robyn’s Nest Café. From it’s delicious homemade cakes to their tasty fish finger sandwiches, the café has become a popular haunt within the local community.
Recently this business was frequented by celebrity nature presenter, Steve Backshall and his family.
