The 27th annual May Fayre, hosted by Wokingham Lions Club, was held on Monday, May 1.

As well as more than 120 stalls, there was a funfair, a children’s zoo, Morris dancers, Punch & Judy, a magic show and circus street entertainers.

Posting on social media, Wokingham Lions Club, said: "Thank you to everyone who attended or supported the Wokingham May Fayre 2023! We hope you enjoyed the event."

Wokingham Lions Club were raising funds for Camp Mohawk and Thames Hospice.

CLASP  (Counselling Life Advice Suicide Prevention) won the first prize of £150 for being the best decorated stall.

Girlguiding Wokingham took the Highly Commended prize of £100 for its great decoration.

Another social media post by the Lions Club, said: "Thank you to Wokingham Town Council Mayor Cllr Maria Gee for helping judge and present the certificates."

The event was sponsored by Wokingham Town Council, the Wokingham Society, Wokingham Local, The Wokingham Word, The Rose Inn, Clifton Ingram, Vet's Klinic in Reading, David Wilson Homes, Allder Glass LTD and Wokingham Prospect Estate Agents.
