A new craft shop is set to open its doors in Princess Square next month.
Craft Coop is a social enterprise business which will provide shoppers at The Lexicon with a hand-made gift shop and community space.
This gives local artisans and craft people the opportunity to showcase and sell their wares to people across Bracknell when they shop in the town centre.
Director of Craft Coop, Heidi Berry, says: “We’re so excited about opening our doors in Bracknell. We pride ourselves on the relationships we develop and the communities we work, play and craft with!”
The Bracknell branch will be Craft Coops fifth store. They also plan to offer a programme of workshops where people can learn more about individual crafts.
Rob Morris, general manager at the Lexicon says: “We’re delighted to welcome Craft Coop to The Lexicon. With the local community at the centre of its business, it is sure to be popular with local craftspeople and shoppers.”
Susan Halliwell, Chief Executive, Bracknell Forest Council: “We were keen to encourage a community-driven organisation such as Craft Coop to The Lexicon. The UK Shared Prosperity Fund gave us the opportunity to bring this to the town centre. This shop will give local artists a stepping stone into retail as well as offer access to fun activities for shoppers.”
