Exciting plans to add an outdoor bar and extended terrace area at a popular Bracknell pub have been scrapped after their planning application was approved last month.
The owners of the Golden Retriever, located in Nine Mile Ride, applied to make a series of changes to the outside area as we move into the Summer.
This included a new horse box bar where customers would have been able to buy drinks as an alternative to the main bar and an outdoor extension to the seated covered outdoor area.
However, after a management change and other factors which came into play, a new plan is due to be proposed in the near future.
The manager of The Golden Retriever, Brandon said: "We've decided to completely scrap the current plans and go back to the drawing board so any refurb will be a while off yet.
"The pub is still going to have a refurbishment but I need to sit down with the bosses and discuss what I see for the future of the pub.
"When I took over, I wasn't happy about the plans that had been proposed and approved so we are now starting from the beginning."
