Bracknell Forest Council have launched a renewable energy scheme where residents will be able to invest in ways to improve the planet through solar energy.
The group-buying scheme will allow residents to gain access to solar panels with optional battery storage and electric vehicle charge points and retrofit battery storage for residents who have already invested in solar panels.
This is part of the free Solar Together Berkshire scheme and partnership with independent experts iChoosr.
Cllr Mary Temperton, leader of Bracknell Forest Council and executive member for council strategy and climate change, said:
“This is a great opportunity for those who have been thinking about making the switch to solar panels or improving their renewable energy source set up.
“We all need to do our bit to reduce our carbon footprint and joining this scheme gives residents the chance to make a huge difference and help contribute to the borough wide target of being carbon neutral by 2050."
