Three separate areas in and around Bracknell Forest have featured on the 2023 ‘Most desirable to live’ list.

In new research commissioned by The Telegraph, towns were ranked using several key factors including state of health, cost of homes, the jobs people living there have and qualifications they hold.

The areas that were listed across Berkshire have at least one defining featuring which gives them the right to stand out.

These towns were put together using data from the most recent census and conducted by Savills estate agents.

The two areas that are situated within the borough of Bracknell Forest that have made their way onto the list are North Ascot and Crowthorne.

Crowthorne

Crowthorne village is an area that has been sought after by many families who want to settle down in a place filled with greenery, yet also have excellent commuter links into the city.

Families with children at secondary school age have also been drawn to Crowthorne due to the presence of Wellington College. Despite the boarding facilities many people from London are known to move to the area to be close to both the award-winning schools.

The proximity to London means that many established professionals and retired business men and women have settled in the town as a relaxing change following a life in the rat race.

North Ascot

North Ascot is an area of Bracknell Forest in the county of Berkshire with a few acres straddling the town of Ascot in the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

Lying north of the A329 and A332, the most defining features of the area include the famous Ascot Racecourse and the brand-new Heatherwood Hospital.

The area has some of the largest and most expensive houses in the country and is near the celeb dense area of Sunninghill and Virginia Water.

The community vibe that comes with living in Ascot is certainly a reason why people find it so desirable.

Wokingham

Although not located in Bracknell Forest, the neighbouring borough is a huge draw for people working and living in either Reading and Bracknell.

With its vast areas of green space and quaint independent town centre, the people of Wokingham are said to have the best quality of life in a recent UK-wide survey conducted.
