A MAN who admitted to taking indecent photographs of a seven-year-old girl has also been found guilty of raping her.

Attila Dombi, of Saffron Road, Bracknell, was found guilty after a trial at Reading Crown Court on Thursday (June 29) of several sex crimes against a child.

Prior to the proceedings, the 51-year-old admitted to the court that he took three indecent photographs of her. He also pleaded guilty to two counts of possessing indecent images of children.

However, he denied the charges of rape, assault and causing a child to look at sexual activity claiming the young girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was lying.

After a week long trial, Dombi was found guilty of causing a child to watch him masturbate, two counts of assault, one count of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and one count of engaging causing a child to look at pornography.

When interview by police about why he had taken the indecent photographs, Dombi said he was ‘curious’.

“It’s something else, something different from normal sex, something unusual,” he said.

Dombi’s devices possessed 22 Category A images, eight Category B images and 37 Category C images.

He will now be sentenced at the same court on August 4.
