A local jobs fair has been hailed a 'huge success' after hundreds attended to find out about local employment opportunities.
Hosted by Bracknell Business Improvment District (BID) in partnershop with The Lexicon, organisers report having a "great turnout".
The event enabled crowds of people to acces vacancies, apprenticeships, training opportunities and careers advice throughout the day, with a record number of job offers and interviews being made by local businesses.
Bracknell BID Manager, Sean Griffin, said: “We are over the moon with how it went and have had some fantastic feedback from exhibitors and attendees.
"This event was about supporting businesses in their quest for staff, and also helping more candidates into employment - it was a huge success on both counts.
"There was something for everyone, from school leavers and graduates through to experienced hires, covering everything from teaching and school roles, home care, sales, marketing, and HR to driving jobs, retail, and facilities."
General Manager at The Lexicon, Rob Morris added: “We are delighted to have partnered with the BID to co-host this event.
"We saw an increase in footfall on Thursday, June 29, because of the Jobs Fair which shows how well attended it was, and we’re pleased that it’s had such a positive impact for local businesses and jobseekers.”
A total of 25 local exhibitors attended including Bracknell Forest Council, Westcon-Comstor, Boehringer Ingelheim and Enterprise Rent-a-Car.
