This is what The Plough and Harrow pub’s beer garden could look like if Bracknell Forest Council planning officers grant it permission.
Owners of the on Newell Green in Warfield want to turn it into a “destination food pub.” Their plans include a new entrance canopy to the outdoor area, along with a detached pergola covering and festoon lights.
They also want to add new posts to the front of the pub and new weatherboard cladding to the north. And there will be new doors and windows inside the building.
Drawings and photographs submitted to the council give an idea of what the future of the pub could look like. They show rows of outdoor seating on a sunny patio, with tasteful outdoor lighting strung above them on a pergola frame.
The Plough and Harrow is managed by the Greene King chain. Greene King’s website says its location, on a crossroads between Bracknell, Windsor, Maidenhead and Ascot makes it “a great starting point to explore the surrounding areas.”
It adds: “Already with a great pizza offer, we see the future of the business as very much a destination food pub.”
