Royal Mail has made the decision to slash the opening hours of their Bracknell Delivery Centre, according to residents.
A notice posted on the door of the building, located on Downmill Road, says that from Monday, July 31, the postal centre will run a significantly reduced service.
This comes as posties voted on an agreement last month to cut opening hours at some smaller centres and post offices across the UK following their strike in 2022.
From the beginning of August, the Royal Mail Delivery Centre will open from 8 am - 10 am on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 8 am -10 am and 4 pm-6 pm on Thursday and 8 am – 12 pm on Saturday.
This is a significant difference from previous full-time opening hours.
Residents were previously able to access facilities at the Downmill Road centre from 7 am – 5:30 pm on weekdays and 7 am – 2 pm on Saturdays.
The Royal Mail Delivery Centre in Bracknell is the local sorting office where people can go and collect their parcels if something could not be delivered to their home.
