A children’s splash pad has been repaired at a Winkfield recreation ground and play area.

Located on Forest Road, the Locks Ride activity area was cordoned off whilst council workers restored it to its former glory.

The splash pad has jets of water and overhead buckets that gradually fill was water and then spilled down onto the people below.

Although Winkfield Parish Council have fixed most of the splash pad for children, they have announced that the bucket pole has been removed.

The site is a popular area for families throughout the Summer. Alongside the splash pad, there is also a large open children’s beach-themed play area and a selection of outdoor gym equipment.

The splash pad opening hours are approximately 11 am – 1 pm and 3 pm – 5 pm.
