A mysterious sound left some residents flummoxed when it was heard echoing throughout a Bracknell neighborhood.
One person who first heard the strange high-pitched animal noise took to social media to ponder the origin of it with other residents.
The mysterious animal or bird call could be heard in the Bill Woodland area, where this particular resident lives.
Posting as an anonymous member on the ‘We Love Bracknell’ community page, they said that they could hear the sound 24/7 and were ‘curious to know what it was’.
Other members of the group gave their helpful opinions on what they believed this sound to be, with most coming up with a specific kind of bird.
Some people who lived nearby were also curious as to the origin of the sound.
After a member recommended the app BirdNET to distinguish the sound, it was concluded to most likely have been a Sparrow Hawk.
The anonymous resident commented to the Bracknell News saying: “I downloaded the app recommended below and the app thinks it's a sparrowhawk.”
According to some commenters, the birds frequently fly over the Bill Hill area.
