SCHOOLS across Bracknell, Ascot and Wokingham have been celebrating GCSE success after results day on Thursday, August 24.
GCSE results have returned to ‘normal’ after the pandemic, the Department for Education has confirmed.
The proportion of entries achieving top grades (grade 7 and above) and standard passes (grade 4) are consistent with 2019, as grading moves back to normal.
Grades 9, 8 and 7 are equivalent to the old Grades A* and A.
Grades 6, 5 and 4 are equivalent to the old Grades B and C. Grade 4 is a pass.

26% of grades were awarded 9-8 at Heathfield School in Ascot.
Almost 20% of the year group achieved straight 9-7 grades across all their subjects.
Commenting on this year’s achievements, Heathfield’s headteacher Sarah Rollings said: "I am so proud of this year group and their results. These young women have triumphed both in their studies and in their individual development, thanks to their tenacity, determination and character."
At Emmbrook School in Wokingham, high performing subjects at grades 7-9 included art & design, biology, chemistry and physics, computer science, French, geography, maths, and media.
At Charter's School in Sunningdale, 31.1% (83) of students achieved five or more 9–7 grades.
84% of Ranelagh School students achieved a grade 4 or above in both English and maths.
St George's Ascot celebrated its "best year yet" as 38% of grades were 9-8.
Deputy head academic, Jeremy Hoar, commented: "We are immensely proud of all of our girls who have achieved outstanding grades across every subject which are above and beyond their baseline predictions, something for which St George’s is renowned."
At Bohunt School in Wokingham, 28% of grades were grade 9-7.

King's Academy Binfield celebrated as 83% of students passed English and 78% passed maths.
As a school holding the Artsmark Award, King’s Academy Binfield saw 100% pass rates in various creative subjects including dance, music and fine art.
At St Crispin's School, 87% of students passed maths and 83% passed English.
Headteacher at St Crispin's School, Andy Hinchliff, said: "With the results received today, I am delighted for our students and their families.
"The students, staff and parents have worked enormously hard and have been rewarded with some excellent results. I could not be more proud of our young adults."
More than 95% of students taking maths and English GCSEs at Bracknell and Wokingham College achieved a pass in this year’s exams.
Biology, citizenship studies, media studies, physics and sociology all secured 100% pass rates at the college.
