JAMES Sunderland MP has hit out at Sadiq Khan as the new ULEZ expansion scheme comes into action.
The Bracknell member of parliament said it is "an expense we can't afford" and warned he believed it would be the beginning of further plans for London's mayor to tax drivers in Berkshire.
He said: " Expanding ULEZ will hit every driver with a non-ULEZ compliant vehicle in Bracknell, Crowthorne, Finchampstead and Sandhurst entering London, including businesses, carers, parents, grandparents, patients and sole traders.
"I will continue to oppose this scheme and any other plans for London, Berkshire or the Thames Valley that will impact my constituents."
Speaking previously, Sadiq Khan defended the scheme saying it was vital to improve air quality for Londoners and to help combat climate change.
