A DRIVER has been charged with murder and two young men are standing trial for separate incidents of alledged rape and sexual assault.

A TEENAGER has been charged with the murder of a 19-year-old boy from Tilehurst who died after a crash.

Sheldon Lewcock was riding an electric bike when he was involved in a collision in Pierces Hill on August 4 last year. He passed away five days later.

Ryan Willicombe, 18, from Newbury, was originally charged with driving a vehicle involved in a road accident and failing to report that accident as well as one count of driving without third-party insurance.

Reading Crown Court has now confirmed Willicombe will appear for a preliminary hearing on Thursday (September 28) charged with murder, attempted grievous bodily harm, and causing death by dangerous driving.

TWO men have been stabbed in Slough this weekend.

Thames Valley Police have put a Section 60 order in place, allowing officers temporary greater powers to stop and search, following the incidents.

It was put in place after a man was stabbed inside a property in Odencroft Road at about 11am yesterday (September 23). The man was treated at hospital but has since been discharged.

The second incident was a report of man seen with a knife in Bath Road at about 5pm yesterday (September 23). Police officers attended the scene and seized a knife.

“HEARING what I put you through is physically shaming for me so I can’t comprehend how it is for you,” said a young man in a text after he was accused of rape.

Oliver Pearless, of Berkeley Road, Newbury, has been charged with one count of rape which allegedly occurred in the early hours of New Years Day in 2020.

The 23-year-old had been out clubbing in the since-closed Zinc Club, in Market Place, Newbury, with the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, before the alleged incident.

“HE grabbed my face, throat, and jaw,” said a young girl about a Bracknell man accused of sexually assaulting her.

Ross Tibbles, 21, has been charged with sexual assault and assault of a female aged 14 is currently standing trial at Reading Crown Court.

It is alleged the incident happened on May 13 last year while Tibbles, of Ullswater, Bracknell, was intoxicated.

The young girl aged 14, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has accused Tibbles of ‘kissing and biting’ her breasts as well as penetrating her with his fingers – despite her pleas for him to stop as she was ‘in pain’ and ‘uncomfortable’.
