New food hygiene ratings given to 52 restaurants across Bracknell

Food hygeine ratings are awarded to any business which supplies food and drink to members of the public to ensure the hygeine of the establishment is up to the highest standards.

Alongside Food Standards, officials from Bracknell Forest Council conduct regular visits to these establishment to inspect facilities and safe food preparation and storage.

The News can report that from March 2023 to September 2023, over fifty restaurants, takeaways and cafes have been inspected.

This includes brand new eateries such as Giggling Squid and Five Guys, to established restaurants receiving a re-inspection.

During a visit by the Food Standards Agency there are three catagories that are scored for their hygeine standards.

These are Hygenic Food handling, Cleanliness and condition of facilities and building, and management of food safety.
