A brand-new coffee shop is set to open its doors in Bracknell Town Centre this week (6/10).
Located in Easthamstead Works, BREW is a local community coffee shop that embraces local values and interests with a focus on supporting small independent businesses.
Owned by husband and wife duo Jem and Jon Piggott, the coffee shop will be their second business within the town centre building.
Jem Piggott said that the building has a special place in their heart after starting her paint studio, Tinkers.
Alongside their two kids, the family has said that they are excited to welcome their first customers.
Jem, 38, from Priestwood in Bracknell said: “I have such a love for this building and the other businesses that we share it with so when I found out that the café ‘Cup of Rosie’ would be closing I decided to take a leap of faith and open my own alongside my husband.
“It’s been a whirlwind because it was quite a spur-of-the-moment decision to open the café.
“We want to create a friendly safe haven for kids and parents who are looking for a non-judgemental place to relax and unwind.”
All food and drink sold in BREW has been provided by local vendors who are being heavily supported by the business.
Their baked good will be supplied by Charlotte from Chaos and Cakes, based in Ascot and Victoria from Victoria Sponge & More.
Including classic teas and coffees, the café also plans to provide jacket potatoes, soups, toasties, and a small breakfast menu.
Their commitment to minimum waste has established a partnership with a nearby guinea pig rescue centre where the waste will towards their upkeep and bedding.
Jem added: “I am so excited to welcome the community into our new café. Loyalty is very important to us so we will also have loyalty cards so that we are able to thank customers.”
BREW will open on Easthampstead Works in Bracknell Town centre on Friday, October 6 at 9:30am with lots of free goody bags for the first customers through the door.
