A Bracknell arts venue promoting grassroots music has reached out to the local community in search of a new home.
This comes as the closure of the High Street car park has threatened the existence of the venue which sits within the building.
The Acoustic Lounge is considered one of Bracknell’s hidden gems - dedicated to supporting grassroots music and keeping live music thriving in the community.
They have been given until the end of 2025 to find a new location to replace their Market Street venue.
A GoFundMe page has been created to help the team at the live music venue secure a new location before their closure notice.
In a post on social media, the Acoustic Couch posted an ‘urgent announcement’ as they attempt to save the community music venue from closure.
They said: “As a not-for-profit Community Interest Company (CIC), we’re dedicated to keeping live music thriving in our community. But moving to a new home comes with costs, and we need your support more than ever.
“We’re reaching out to our wonderful community for help. If you want to see The Couch continue to be the heart of grassroots music in Bracknell, please consider donating whatever you can to our GoFundMe page.
“Every contribution, big or small, will make a difference in securing our future. Let’s work together to keep the music alive in Bracknell!
As well as a music venue, The Couch also features rehearsal rooms and a late-night bar.
