Prior to this weekend’s Remembrance Day activities, it has been announced that some roads in Bracknell will close. These will be at certain times to allow parades, processions, and ceremonies to take place.
Here is a list of all the roads that will see a period of closure during the remembrance ceremonies:
Binfield Parade
The parade will start from the Oakmede shops car park at 9.30 am and will walk down Terrace Road North to All Saints’ Church ready for the church service, which begins at 10.15 am.
Terrace Road North will be closed while the parade takes place.
Sandhurst Memorial Park Service
Civic Service of Remembrance will be held at 10.45 am in Sandhurst Memorial Park, Yorktown Road.
Attendees will be asked to join for a two-minute silence which will be observed at 11 am, followed by the laying of wreaths to remember the fallen soldiers.
Instrumental and vocal music will be provided by the Sandhurst Silver Band, St Michael’s Church Choir and the Sandhurst and District Corps of Drums.
Parking will be restricted.
Yorktown Road, alongside the Memorial Park, between the Wellington Road and Park Road junctions, will be closed to vehicles from 10.40 am for the Remembrance March, with a diversion in place.
