Rumours have been circulating regarding a new café and bar joining the host of eateries along Eagle Lane.

Suspected to be coming to the empty Prezzo restaurant in the Lexicon, Loungers is a hospitality company which offers two complementary brands – Lounge and the Cosy Club.

Lounge combines elements of a restaurant, British pub and coffee shop culture, and are normally located in suburban high streets and small town centres.

Speaking with Rob Morris, general manager at The Lexicon the opening has not been ruled out.

Mr Morris said: “We can confirm that we are in talks with Lounges over the vacant Prezzo unit at The Lexicon.

"We hope to share a fuller update in due course once everything has been finalised.”

A spokesperson for Loungers said: "We are currently considering a site in Bracknell and hope to share further details about our future opening in due course."

On the news of the rumour, many have been quick to comment that Bracknell already has enough eateries, while others have shared their delight at the prospect of the well-known brand joining other big chains like Wagamamas and Pizza Express in the town centre.
