A woman who lives in Cornwall is hoping to swap her house in Wadebridge for a house in Bracknell.
Gemma Scotting said in a recent Facebook post “I’m looking to move to Bracknell from Wadebridge in Cornwall to be closer to my family.
“I’m on Homeswapper but please feel free to message me if you can’t find me.”
According to Shelter, a tenancy exchange is when you swap your home legally with another council or housing association tenant.
The occupier needs to find someone to swap homes with and then get written permission from both their landlords.
Ms Scotting’s house is a housing association two-bed new build that looks over Cornwall’s highest point onto rolling countryside.
She wants to move to Bracknell because her family lives in the area and she has a disabled daughter.
Wadebridge is well known for the camel trail which is a stunning cycle or walk that leads from Bodmin to Padstow.
It’s an affluent area with many independent shops, fishmongers, Cornish bakeries, and a large Aldi.
Ms Scouting’s local beach is Rock which is small and sheltered. Rock is also home to Gordan Ramsay’s holiday mansion that overlooks the bay.
Padstow, which is a short boat ride from Rock is also very popular for shopping, fine dining, speed boat trips, and delicious pasties.
Ms Scotting originally came to Wadebridge to move into a women’s refuge with my daughter hoping for a safer, calmer future.
But she now feels that with her daughter’s special needs, they both need to be somewhere that can accommodate her more appropriately.
