A PAEDOPHILE has admitted to possessing extreme pornographic images involving sexual content with an animal.
Norman Hersey, 69, of Yeovil Road, Owlsmoor, Sandhurst, has been charged with six counts of varying sexual offences.
He had admitted to one count of possessing an extreme pornographic image involving an animal, two counts of attempting to breach a sexual harm prevention order by possessing three internet-enabled devices and contacting a girl under the age of 16, one count of breaching the order by deleting his internet history, and one count of failing to comply with the sex offenders register by not registering a new passport.

Hersey was due to be sentenced at Reading Crown Court on Friday (November 24). However, the sixth count he pleaded guilty to may be vacated due to Hersey not understanding the charge when it was put to him.
He is accused of arranging/facilitating the commission of a child sex offence. Though he pleaded guilty, his barrister told Judge Amjad Nawaz that the 69-year-old did not fully understand what he was admitting to.
She said if she had been instructing him prior to admissions, she may not have advised a guilty plea based on what the defendant told her.

The sentencing has been adjourned until Friday, December 1 to give Hersey and his barrister time to decide if the plea will be vacated.
