A new post office has opened in Harmans Water almost two years after its previous branch closure.
On Saturday, March 12, Royal Mail announced that the Bracknell branch located in the large suburb of Harmans Water would be closing temporarily.
At the time, the Post Office wrote a letter to customers saying that the postmaster at the store had resigned.
On Monday, November 20, the post office facilities reopened at Londis convenience store in The Square.
Chris Turrell, a former councillor for the area, said: "It's good to see the post office back. It was well used and has been sorely missed, and I'm sure many local residents will be very pleased to be able to use it once again.
“When it was open before, people using it would also use other shops nearby."
Work will continue on the unit housing the post office counter, to convert it from a Londis to a Budgen store.
