Bright Horizons Bracknell Day Nursery and Preschool is amongst 40 of Bright Horizons nurseries across the UK that have achieved their Green Flag Award as part of the international Eco-Schools Programme.
The initiative is composed of seven steps that nurseries and schools follow, designed to empower young people to make changes that help to protect the environment and develop their understanding of the impact of climate change.
Those involved in the programme can achieve the Green Flag Award as recognition and acknowledgement of the ecological achievements of children and young people.
Early Childhood Area Director at Bright Horizons Ann said: “I am so proud of Bracknell Day Nursery for achieving the respected accolade recognising their environmental efforts.
"The children have all been so enthusiastic in their different activities from recycling, repurposing items such as clothing, and setting up eco-committees for the children to express their ideas."
