Burglaries at two different Morrisons stores across Bracknell and Wokingham have been linked by police.

Thames Valley Police are currently investigating both incidents where a large quantity of cigarettes were stolen.

The first incident occurred at a branch of Morrisons in Woosehill, Wokingham, and was reported to police at around 3:10 am this morning (8/2).

The second incident at the Morrisons Daily on Crown Row in Crown Wood, Bracknell was reported at 3: 58am, just 48 minutes after the first incident in Wokingham.

The force has confirmed that there is a connection between both burglaries.

Thames Valley Police have released an appeal for witnesses of both incidents which occurred in the early hours of this morning.

In regards to the Crown Wood burglary, a spokesperson said: “We would ask anybody who may have witnessed the incident or who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage from the area to contact Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting crime reference 43240061360.”

Following reports of the burglary in Morrisons in Woosehill, Thames Valley Police said: “Anybody who witnessed this or who may have dash-cam or CCTV footage is urged to call 101, quoting reference 43240061353.”
