1. Lounge restaurant coming to The Lexicon in Bracknell
A new Lounge cafe and bar has plans to open at The Lexicon in March, bosses have confirmed.
Rumours that a Lounge restaurant could come to The Lexicon first surfaced in November 2023. The Lexicon general manager Rob Morris confirmed at the time there had been talks with Loungers over a possible opening.
The rumours were fuelled when a planning application was submitted to Bracknell Forest Council last month to put up signs and adverts for a new bar and cafe called ‘Pineto Lounge’.

2. The Lexicon announces a trio of big names to arrive in Bracknell town centre
The Lexicon is set to welcome a trio of high-profile names to its multi-million-pound development in early 2024.
Following a record-breaking year for both sales and footfall, the lettings will increase the shopping complex’s mix of retail, leisure and eatery operators.
Following multiple successful store openings in 2023, The Lexicon is encouraging retailers to benefit from their growing trade.

3. Body of Winkfield man found in River Thames near Eton
A body has been pulled from the River Thames.
Thames Valley Police have confirmed they have found a body in the search for missing man Mark Hamilton, aged 57, from Winkfield.
Mark was reported missing on January 17 and police released several appeals asking for the public's help in finding him.

4. Treasury reveals the unclaimed estates in Berkshire
You could be entitled to a fortune through one of these unclaimed estates in Berkshire.
There are currently 67 estates across the region which have passed to the Crown as ‘ownerless property'.
This happens when a person dies without leaving a will and there are no apparent family members to claim the inheritance.

5. Asda Express stores to open in Berkshire this month
Two new Asda supermarkets are set to open their doors in Berkshire this month.
The supermarket chain has confirmed multiple branches of its Asda Express stores will open in both Reading and Bracknell as part of an expansion across the country.
It comes after a multi-million-pound investment into acquiring stores from Co-op and the EG Group.
