A war memorial located inside Wokingham Museum is set to mark its centenary this month.
Located inside the town hall, a war memorial shows records of locals who lost their lives during World War I.
This month marks the 100th anniversary of the War Memorial in the Town Hall, with records showing that its unveiling was reported on February 16, 1924.
Paid for with public subscription, it was the final part of a piece of work creating a memorial to those of the town who gave their lives in service of their country. The other aspect of this work was the Orthopaedic Clinic on Denmark Street.
On the next Museum Open Day, Monday, February 26, there will be more information about the memorial and the opportunity to view it in person between the hours of 10am and 2pm.
The memorial is available to view by appointment at other times.
