Updated plans for a major housing development on Newell Green in Warfield have been submitted to Bracknell Forest Council.
Harcourt Developments wants permission to build around 150 homes, plus shops, on a field north of Priory Lane Field.
This is on the south east corner of the crossroads of Newell Green, Warfield Street and Osborne Lane, across the road from the Plough and Harrow pub.
The plans are part of a much bigger transformation of the area along the north of Harvest Ride – where housing developments of hundreds of homes are in the works.

The 305-home Warfield development is just to the east. And work on two smaller developments to the west – 52 homes on Trussel Road, and 116 homes north of Watersplash Lane – is already under way.
Discussion between Harcourt Developments and the council began in 2017. The developer then made its first formal application two years ago, in March 2022, and has since amended plans following feedback from planning officers and public comments.
The latest plans include amendments to how the neighbourhood would be accessed by car – mainly by a new roundabout at the Plough and Harrow crossroads. Designers made changes to pedestrian access in an attempt to improve road safety.
The developer now wants planning permission for the broad ‘outline’ of the development and the details of the road access. Other details such as the layout, height and appearance of the homes would be approved with follow-up ‘reserved matters’ applications.
